Scrapbook Love

BWS tips button

Making scrapbooks is my first crafting passion.  So this morning I thought I'd share one of my favorite scrapbook pages and a card I made for father's day.  Have a great Saturday!

Displaying kids art

I was going to buy a curtain rod to hang up and use for clipping up the kids art.  Then I decided I wanted to do it the cheap free route.  I used what I had.  I had a large frame in the basement that was not being used and I had twine.  On the inside of the frame I stapled the twine and then reinforced it with my trusty glue gun.  It's held up well.  Of course, I'm only clipping paper to it.

I've been thinking it might be a really cool spot to display Christmas cards in a few months.  The possibilities...

Mini Boo Banner and Broom Tag

I think mini banners are SO cute.  Just thought I'd share this one I made:

Gotta love mini clothespins, too.  They have so much potential!  I now have a bunch and need to decide what to do with them.   hmmmm...

Here's another something I made recently.  They were so fun to make.  I'm feeling festive, how about you?

Birthday board countdown

Birthdays and holidays are so much more fun since having kids!  They get so excited about it all that it makes it that much more fun for me.  Sometimes I probably go a little overboard, especially in the decoration department.  My boxes in the basement of holiday decor are slowly growing, as my hubby likes to remind me.  So when it comes to celebrating birthdays I love to make their day, or week :), special!

I found a variety of birthday countdown boards out there in the blog world.  They were all so cute and inspired me to make my own.  Earlier this month I made this one and used it for my little ladybug's birthday.

I just used scrapbook supplies I had on hand.  We counted down the week before her birthday.  Each day or night we had a special activity like ice cream night, or playing the gift game.   It was a hit so this is something we will be pulling out for birthdays every year!  Yea, more decor for  us! (sorry, hubby)

Handprint Tree

I helped my little ladybug (she thinks she is Ladybug Girl from the book) make this two years ago. I love it so I put it in a frame and we display it every fall.

We painted her hand and part of her arm to make the brown part of the tree. Then she dipped her finger tip in fall colors to make the leaves. I love those fall colors! Next year my little guy will be the right age to make this craft.

I don't remember where I found the idea, but I would guess it probably came from
Family Fun which is where we find most of our fun crafts.
