Stocking stuffer for a cause

hey there all!

something that i haven't mentioned much on this blog is that the little lady has a severe peanut allergy.

on September 29 we are participating in the FARE food allergy walk in Chicago

we are hoping to raise a little bit of money to help the cause.
FARE stands for Food Allergy Research and Education.
most recently they contributed to the documentary An Emerging Epidemic: Food Allergies in America, narrated by Steve Carell.

our little lady made some little ladybug magnets in an attempt to help earn funds for our walk.  we are selling sets of 3 in my shop (HERE) for $5.  any monies made from these cute little guys will go toward our walk.

they come packaged all ready for gifting!  think teacher gift, stocking stuffers, coworkers.  a cute gift that supports a great cause ;)

Here I am!

Well hey there!

I know I haven't been around much the last few weeks, but I'm not quitting yet!

{Every time I get behind on things I think of this.  Good advice}

I've just been lost in a little bit of everything lately...

lost in "creative" messes,
at Christmas parties,
enjoying birthdays and baking,
making Christmas crafts,
more baking,
making Christmas gifts,
(seriously...why sometimes do the pictures load sideways?!  Weird.)
enjoying Christmas plays,
savoring family time,
enjoying more family time,
heading to Macy's to mail last minute letters to Santa,
making fun and festive food.
This has been life the last few weeks, and that's where I've been.  I've been focusing on enjoying the little moments and less time documenting life in scrapbooks and the blog.

Which means I am now waaaaay behind on December Daily and Project Life as well.  The blog has been on the back burner, too.  I've also taken on some extra commitments in life that have taken up a bit of time.  I'm trying to get back on track and find balance again.  Bear with me please :-)

The Craft Catwalk link up will be back up and running as usual on Sunday night.
In the meantime I've just updated the shop with Valentine goodies!

Pumpkin Art (copycat crafting)

Well happy Monday!

I love checking out all the Fall inspiration linked up at the craft catwalk each week!  A few weeks ago Courtney at A Diamond in the Stuff shared an awesome idea for pumpkin art.  So when my munchkins cracked open one of my decorative pumpkins while playing catch with it, I knew what I was going to do with it.
(Yes, it actually cracked exactly in half.  It was fate telling me I must make this ;-)

I hot glued half of the pumpkin to a sheet of scrapbook paper and put it in the frame.
Last year I had my paper pumpkin patch in this frame.  I have two of these square white frames, and the ladybug and I are making something else fall-ish in the other one.
I'll share that later this week.

I also added a couple Fall tags in the shop.

More items will be added over the next few days.
Hope you'll come back and check them out!

Back To School in the Shop

Only a few more weeks until school starts!

We went school supply shopping today.  I can't believe my little ladybug will be in kindergarten!  Time just passes WAY too fast.  {sniff}  She'll be fine starting school, and I'll be the one in tears.

With school a few weeks away and fall apple picking around the corner, I've added some apple items in the shop.

New in the shop

I just added 4 different Fall embellishment kits in the shop.  They come packaged in a little bag with a coordinating tag attached, so you can use them for gift giving.

If you keep them for yourself, they are perfect for creating specimen art or mobiles.

Last year I used these paper pumpkins for specimen art...

I am going to make some form of a hanging bat mobile this year.
I wanted to last year, but just never got to it.

I LOVE warm Fall colors.

Just listed in the shop

Are we thinking school / Fall yet?

Okay, it's still July.

Don't worry, we still have plenty of summer days ahead full of sunscreen and little toes in the sand!

I just added this set of sweet little apple tags to the shop.
There are lots of little details and textures in these tags.

I'll have a similar pumpkin / Fall tag listed in the next couple days.

Now, back to that summer sunshine!
