A Chalkboard (& a cute halloween printable)

Yay! This girl finally made her own chalkboard!

This large frame I once used to display the little ones art.
It's nothing special...just a plain old chalkboard, but I love it anyway :-)

See that silly little pumpkin joke I wrote on the chalkboard?

Well...on pinterest I found these cute printable Halloween jokes for the kiddos from All for the Boys

They were making me giggle.  The hubs just {lovingly} rolled his eyes me. I still think they're cute!
I hope you get a kick out of them too!
I'm planning to print them out for the ladybugs Halloween party.

How about some chalkboard hearts?

Last Fall I added bits of cork to lots of my projects.  In these winter months I've become obsessed with chalkboard.  Who knows what the spring will bring.

I've had these little Valentine heart ornaments for a few years.
I decided they needed a change!
I started with some primer.
Well, actually I tried to paint them without the primer first, but the paint just wouldn't stick without it.
Lesson learned.
After a coat of primer, I put on a couple coats of chalkboard paint.
After drying and a little doodling, here are the little cuties...
I like that I can put whatever messages I want on them.
Wouldn't it make a perfect little valentine for a teacher?!

I painted one white and added some mod podge and glitter...just to see how it would look.
I think I really like them this way too!
I think I'll be making some more glitter ones, too!

Chalkboard & Pine cone Wreath

Chalkboard pine cone wreath?
It sounds a little funny when you put them together, but it looks beautiful!
I found this gorgeous idea over at The Stories of A to Z.

I was doing those ornaments already, I had left over pine cones from my other wreath, and everything else I already had.  I used wire to secure it all to the wreath.  Isn't the little dove cute?  You can't tell in the picture, but he has a little sparkle to him.  (It's the little things : )

I must admit it is my favorite wreath yet.  Thanks for the inspiration, Beth!

Chalkboard Ornaments

I had some clear glass ornaments left over from crafts last Christmas, and I had planned on turning them into little round chalkboards for about a month now.
Today I had a little time to get them done.  Yay for free time!

My plan is to use these as name tags on top of a couple presents.
How fun would a chalkboard ornament gift tag be?!

How cute would a tree full of these be?!  So many options!!

But I put a couple of these aside for a beautiful idea I found on another blog.
I hope to get it done tonight, and if I do I'll post it tomorrow.

Got Soap?

Did you know you can buy CHALKBOARD contact paper?!  When I found out that fun fact I hunted down a cheap roll online and bought some!
So many possibilities!
I just cut the proper size and stuck it in my pretty white frame.  I plan on doing a different paper craft in this frame because it matches the frame I used for my paper pumpkin patch
For now it's a cute little chalkboard for the bathroom.

These rocks have a lot to say...

I planned on eventually making chalkboard rocks with paint, but then I found these...Inspired by Pottery Barn, Lizard & Ladybug made some fun chalkboard looking rocks.  So a bag of accent rocks and paint pen later this is what I had.

For now they are in a vase on a bookshelf.

I found my rocks at Michaels for $2 something.  I just saw them at a dollar store for $1...fyi.
Happy creating
