"Lucky to have you" picture

Improved.  Now I like it better.

I love using paper to make seasonal decor for frames, because when the holiday has passed I can use it in our scrapbook.

I cut the letters with my cricut and glued it all to a piece of card stock.  You could do the same thing with alphabet stickers.

Feeling Lucky?

Today I started a little piece of St. Patrick's day decor.  I say "started" because I'm going to add something to it, and I'll post it when I finish up tomorrow.
I change out this frame for each holiday/season.  As much as I loved my Valentine heart...the frame was just itchin' for something green
I cut the letters with my cricut and glued it all to a piece of card stock.   It adds a touch of green in our entryway.
On another note...
I'm almost done with the pantry redo and almost done working on the new tins for my shop!  Woo-hoo!
Don't you just LOVE checking things off your list?!

Keeping busy

The hubs and I just got over a nasty stomach bug.  Not fun.  Glad that's over!  Now I can get back to all the little things on my agenda.

For starters, the pantry.  It drives me nuts.  Because of the wire shelves we have, everything falls over.  We took a trip to the Home Depot and have a cheap fix in the works.  More on that another day...

Do you do project life?  I love it.  I think I've finally found a system that helps me "keep up" with my scrapbooking.

 I'm making more tins for my shop.  I hope to have new ones in the shop by the weekend.  I think they'd make cute Easter baskets.

 I am so grateful for all the post office runs I've had to do!  It's a good day when I need a tote to bring the orders to the post office.  {insert huge amounts of gratitude here}

 And last...I'm trying to decide on colors for the little guy's room and our master bedroom.  So many color choices!

What are you working on?

so many uses for yo yo's

Recently I've fallen in love with yo-yo's.
They're so girly.
So sweet.

{Click on the captions below the images to take you to the site.}

Find yo-yo's at this shop

Isn't this mobile adorable?

I'd love to hang this garland in the ladybug's room.

This tin from my shop is embellished with a mint green yo-yo

My mom reminded me that I had a yo-yo doll when I was little.  I had no idea what she was talking about until she pulled it out of her basement.
The whole doll is made from yo-yo's!
I never would have thought to make a whole doll from yo-yo's!
Do you craft with yo-yo's?
Leave a link in the comments.  We'd love to see it!

You are "thumb"body special

Today was a relaxing day at home with the hubs and munchkins.
The ladybug and little guy played in their pj's until close to lunchtime.
No appointments, classes, or places to go.  Just an easy day.

I like these days.
I vote for more of them.

The ladybug and I spent some time making her valentines for preschool.
We started with little treat bags filled with fun.  Treat bags are big in her class.

We made these cute little valentines and attached them to the bags.
You can find this adorable idea at Brown Paper Packages.

Then we filled some packages with sweet pictures and valentines for Nana and Grandma, too.
{of course}

So many tastey choices...

Valentines day is Monday.  I'm going for groceries today.

hmm...

We will make THESE cookies for a party or two, but I'm trying to decide what sweet treat to make for our family on V-day.  Do you have something special you make?

I'm leaning toward this delicious looking piece of heaven from Heather at Sprinkle Bakes ...
I LOVE red velvet cake.

These layered brownies from Kierste at Brown Paper Packages sounds SO good.

These sweet little pies from The Sugar Fairy and shared at Tom Kat Studio are adorable.

So many choices.
