Tooth Fairy

Someday the Tooth Fairy will be coming to our house.
Whether it's in a month or a year, we'll be ready.

When she has a loose tooth, we'll hang this door next to her bed.
I was inspired by the doors at Nest of Posies and My Life-My Loves.

Smart-Bottom Enterprises took this idea even further by giving the inside a magical touch.  I loved that.  It makes the perfect place to put the tooth while waiting for the tooth fairy to arrive.

We'll put the tooth in a little bag and clip to the line.

I love that when they're little they believe in all things magical.
I'm savoring these early days.

5 Random Things I'm Loving Right Now

#1 Mini Albums

I love mini albums full of mixed media.  It's one of my favorite ways to scrapbook.
I have my own basket full of mini's I've made for holidays and milestones.
I'm working on a Fall mini album kit for my shop and should have them completed and listed in the next couple of weeks.

#2 Paper Straws
Pixie striped straws make any drink cuter.  This is one of the best deals I've found on them yet.  144 straws for $5.95.
I just got mine in the mail and I'm saving them for some Christmas projects.
Sur La Table

#3 Fall Crafts

With Fall right around the corner I've been pinning cute Fall crafts like crazy on Pinterest.  Fall is my favorite season so I'm so much more inspired and crafty in those months.
The colors are just beautiful, and I am so ready for that crisp Fall air.
I am so over these 90 degree days!

#4 Kraft Magazine

Love this magazine.   I make at least 2 Kraft recipes every week.
They're easy, inexpensive, usually kid friendly, and almost always actually turn out looking like the picture.
I love it when a recipe actually turns out looking like the picture.  Just sayin'.

Food & Family

#5 Memory Keepers

These Memory Keepers from Paper Coterie are awesome!
I ordered one for the ladybug's kindergarten papers and it turned out really nice.  What I love even more is they give you a $40 discount for the month of August with the code beginanywhere.

There you have it.
5 random things that I'm loving at this moment.

Back to School and Growing up

School has officially begun.
My little ladybug is a kindergartner.

I saw this idea at The Crafting Chicks and we made one for her teacher.

The ladybug had this sweet treat waiting for her too.

As we were walking up to the school doors this morning, the ladybug says to me, "I know where my room is, can I just go inside by myself?"

At the young age of 5 she is already so independent. *sniff*  While I am proud of her for that, it's still a tough pill for this mama to swallow.

A Lemonade Stand Birthday Party

Remember those lemonade stand party invitations I shared last month?
Well the party finally came along.

And the party wouldn't be complete without a lemonade stand.
The hubs was kind enough to build this lemonade stand for us.  I've seen so many cute ones for sale, but all with a huge price tag.
Mine cost $5.  Woo hoo!
The bottom portion is a part of a cabinet from the "as is" section of Ikea for $5.  That's the spot to go!

The frame around it was made with scrap wood we already had.
I put chalkboard paper on the front so we could personalize her stand.

Down the sides of the stand I added a string of these cute paper lemons from Wendolonia
The banner across the front was made front paint chips (gotta love paint chips) and doilies strung together with yellow baker's twine.

That super cute personalized lemonade stand tank she is wearing is from Cotton Laundry

We served regular and pink lemonade.  Guests could garnish their drinks with lemons, strawberries, or raspberries.   The drink wouldn't be complete without a pink or yellow striped straw.

The birthday girl loved serving lemonade to her guests.

The little guests took home small pails with goodies including pink lemonade gumballs.

The gumballs are in pretzel bags with a paint chip top.  The pink lemonade circle was a printable at Funkytime

These lemonade recipe cards came from Funkytime as well.

My mom made this adorable fruit salad.  She packaged it up to match the party decor.
{Thanks Mom!}

We had a small sweet table.
Since the party was at a park, this was easier than having a cake to cut and melting ice cream.

This candy jar I made HERE and just added the lemonade gumballs.

I made the cupcake toppers to coordinate with the invitations.

The birthday girl had a blast.
