Fall Burlap Bunting

I stumbled upon this idea over at Less-Than-Perfect Life of Bliss, and thought it was wonderful!  She gives a great tutorial to guide you through the process.

Why yes, that is burlap.

I think this is my favorite seasonal bunting yet.  Mine is hanging on a mirror in our entryway for now.

Pennant Centerpiece Redo

Sometimes I drive myself nuts just trying to figure out how to improve on something I've already done.  I am my own toughest critic.   Remember this pennant centerpiece I made?  Well, I found a way to change it a little and now I like even more.

After:

I like it so much more in the jar with the twine and tag.  Sometimes it's the little things : )

Pennant cake or pie topper

You know I love a cute pennant...so I had to make one to top a Thanksgiving pie.  I think it's adorable!  Now I'm hooked and I'll be making tons of these.  The hubby will be having nightmares of mini pennants taking over the house.  But it's okay, because I think they're adorable.

How cute will that look on top of a Thanksgiving pie?!  Each triangle is double sided.  I kind of cut a diamond,  folded it over the string, and glued it shut.   When the colored bakers twine I ordered comes in I'll be making more.

Fall Pennant Centerpiece

You know I love pennant banners, so it's no surprise that this is right up my alley.

A fun and simple Fall centerpiece.  I came across this idea when browsing through a magazine while patiently
waiting in a doctor's office.

There are so many different ways you can alter this.  You could even use them as place cards on Thanksgiving.

I made one triangle pennant to use as a template.  Then using scrapbook paper I traced and cut out each one.  I made sure to either use double sided paper or to just glue two together.

I punched two small holes on each pennant and used twine to tie it to the twig.  Then I stuck them in a glass of corn kernels.

The best part of the project is having fun collecting the twigs with your munchkins.
